HAKONE GINYU -Extra Reports(3)-
Since its reopening in 2002, "Hakone Ginyu" has introduced a variety of original products. It is surprising that these products are as popular with guests as the inn itself. Since the store is crowded at check-out time, we recommend that you stop by beforehand during your stay. Incidentally, it is also possible to have your payment attached to your check-out bill. Let us introduce some of Hakone Ginyu's original products. First, let's start with the aforementioned "Ginyu Spa" related products. The products actually used in the treatment. |
Moist lotion is a "more moisturizing" lotion. It has a more moisturizing effect than the existing Ginyu series. Toning lotion is a "refreshing" lotion. It is excellent for tightening pores and calming pimples and redness. |

Placenta is a substance derived from the placenta of mammals, and its growth factors are a remarkable anti-aging agent that rejuvenates the skin from the cellular level. Essence C contains 40% high-quality water-soluble collagen. It has excellent moisturizing and protective effects, and leads to beautiful skin with a translucent and matte appearance. |

Next is the Ginyu Series. As an amenity for guest rooms and large public baths, it is the behind-the-scenes force that has supported the subtle charm of Hakone Ginyu. Together with the Ginyu Spa Series, the Ginyu Series is designed to provide healing that only Ginyu can offer, and because we want everyone to use them with peace of mind, we are particular about ingredients, feel, and freshness, and we make sure that each item is carefully produced at a factory that is capable of small-lot production. Until now, the products could only be purchased at the store or partially by fax order, so many people bought in bulk when staying at the hotel, but in April 2012, a shopping website was opened. Users can purchase the products at any time and can always use the freshest ones. |

Ginyu Series Natural Soaps |
These original series of amenities were originally the result of the pursuit of products more suited to the "Ginyu Spa". As a result, they are far more luxurious than commercial amenities. For Hakone Ginyu, a pioneer in the ryokan esthetic business, it was essential to be able to freely combine esthetic techniques and products that matched the services offered at the ryokan, but this itself was difficult at the time. The common belief was that "technology and products are a set", and it was not uncommon for the company to be charged with the sale of products. In addition, the products of foreign manufacturers often did not suit Japanese people's skin, and the more knowledgeable they became about ingredients and formulas, the more they were confronted with the reality that there were few products that anyone could use with peace of mind. With these limited conditions, there was clearly a limit to what Hakone Ginyu could achieve in creating "an esthetics service that blends in with the Hakone Ginyu ryokan". Thus, they decided to first develop in-house something that anyone could use with peace of mind and that would be appreciated by their guests. The best way to achieve this was to listen to the opinions of guests. First, they installed the product as an amenity in the public baths and guest rooms. While listening to the opinions and impressions of those who actually used the product, the developers made steady improvements little by little. As a result, the number of people who wanted to purchase the product for home use gradually increased, and the product has become so reliable and attractive that it is now being purchased as souvenirs and gifts. It is truly an original product created by Hakone Ginyu and its customers and exclusive to the inn. Recently, the "Ginyu Spa" has been featured in beauty magazines. The delicate Japanese esthetics are said to be highly appreciated by guests from abroad. With more opportunities to touch more customers, the growth of "Ginyu Spa" should not be overlooked in the future. |
