HAKONE GINYU -Facilities & Hot Spring Reports(2)-
At "Hakone Ginyu", all 20 rooms have their own open-air baths. Such inns with open-air baths in all guest rooms are not uncommon these days, but the number of inns without public baths for men and women has been increasing. However, "Hakone Ginyu" is equipped with a large public bath. Moreover, the public bath is located on the lobby floor (5th floor), which is the top floor, and offers an open-air bath overlooking the Hakone mountain range. There are two large public baths, "Tsukishiro" and "Tsukine". Men and women switch according to the time of day. Let's start with "Tsukishiro". This bathhouse has an indoor washing area and an open-air bath. Once in the bathtub, the edge of the tub and handrails are out of sight. You can feel as if you are floating in the air. |

Next to the rock bath, there is also an open-air bath made of stone. A sauna is also attached to the bath. |

The other "Tsukine" is a combination of a large indoor bath and an open-air bath. This one also has a sauna attached. |

"Hakone Ginyu" is usually fully booked every day, but this luxurious bathhouse is never crowded. This is because each guest room has its own open-air bath. That is why it is highly likely that you will have the baths here all to yourself. It is sure to make you feel luxurious. |
|
When the sun sets, the bathhouse takes on a different appearance. The Hakone mountain range seen during the daytime seems to approach with even greater intensity. The clean wind of Hakone passes through the mountains and comes to this open-air bath. It is a moment when you can truly experience the extraordinary nature of the world. |

The spring quality at Hakone Ginyu is a Weak Alkaline "Sodium-Chloride Spring" (weakly saline spring). The spring water is drawn from a source well located approximately 1 km away on the grounds of the annex. Saline spring water has the effect that sebum and other substances combine with the sodium in the hot spring water to form a film that covers the sweat glands, making it difficult for sweat to escape, and as a result, the water does not cool down easily. This is why it is also called "Hot spring for warmth". Unfortunately, the hot spring is disinfected with chlorine, but given the spectacular view and atmosphere, it is more relaxing than taking a bath in a 100% free-flowing hot spring. The healing effects are especially mind-blowing. |
