| Meals are basically served at the "Shikisai" dining room on the first floor of the new "Pygmalion" building, no matter which guest room you are staying in. From the center corridor to the left are 44 seats in a horigotatsu-style tatami room. To the right is a large tatami room for guests of the main building. There is also one private dining room. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen so that freshly prepared food can be served. Guests staying at the "Pygmalion" can also choose to have a room meal for an additional 3,000 yen (tax not included). |

| Unique to this inn's cuisine is the fact that all the water used for cooking is from its own hot spring source. The hot spring water is used in every step of the cooking process, from washing the rice, washing the ingredients, and boiling the tofu to making the house-made tofu, for which the water is the decisive factor. The alkaline hot spring water, which is drawn from the premises and is rich in minerals and has few impurities, seems to bring a certain depth to the dishes in which the flavors of the ingredients are carefully extracted. At the time of the interview, it was almost summer vacation for children (mid-July). The lineup of Izu's typical ingredients and home-grown vegetables shows a cooler atmosphere. The grade of cuisine differs according to the guest room. The following is the menu for those staying in the new "Pygmalion" building guest room, the highest grade in the "Kannon Onsen". The first course is an aperitif of homemade ume (plum) wine. The plum wine is treated with hot spring water and has a light yet rich flavor. The ume fruit is either from the inn's own grounds or from Gunma Prefecture. The appetizer is Uguisu (sweetened green peas) Tofu. This beautiful greenish color tofu is made from green peas. For the second appetizers, nine items that remind you of cool summer weather are lined up on one plate. The appetizers include: Anago (conger eel) nikogori, Tako (octopus) soft-simmered in soy sauce, roasted duck, boiled Hime-sazae (a turban shell), Japanese mackerel cooked with soybean sprouts and miso, broad bean, fig castella, candied plum, and stewed mountain peaches in red wine. |

| The sashimi dish includes Ise lobster, tuna, squid, kampachi, and sea bass. The tuna was purchased from Tsukiji in Tokyo. The squid, kampachi, and sea bass are fresh and come from Numazu City in the same prefecture. The wasabi served with the sashimi comes from the restaurant's own vegetable garden. |
