The hot spring at this ryoukan contains 186 mg of metasilicic acid in per kilogram.

In addition, when alkaline hot water combines with sodium components, it works just like soap. The alkaline hot water also blisters the unwanted horny layer on the skin surface and making it easier to remove it.
