It is only 1.5 km away from the inn, so you can walk there while taking a stroll. The inn also has bicycles for rent, so you can use them. The store is located in the hot spring district of Arayu, where the Shima Onsen Association is located. It is the busiest place in this hot spring area. | |

| Originally, the grandfather of Masuo Kashiwabara, the president of Kashiwaya Ryokan, ran a kimono shop in this location. The business was then converted to a western-style store that also sold cosmetics, and it was not until 2002 that it took on its current form as a cafe. The retro atmosphere of the renovated building, said to have been built in the early Showa period, is popular, and there is a souvenir corner on the first floor by the cash register. | |
